About Laura Chapman






Laura Chapman is the author of sweet and sexy romantic comedies, including Playing House, Going for Two, First & Goal, and The Marrying Type. Her work also appears in the holiday novellas Making Christmasand What Happens at Midnight and the collections A Kind of Mad Courage and Merry & Bright (Simon & Fig).

Before diving into fiction, Laura earned a bachelor’s of journalism degree with minors in English and history from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She reported for local and regional newspapers and traveled the country to photograph and interview men and women for corporate communications. These experiences helped inspire some of her ideas as she let her imagination wander during long stretches on the road.

Laura is a member of Romance Writers of American and Romance Authors of the Heartland and serves as the National Novel Writing Month municipal liaison for Lincoln, Nebraska. She previously served as the author member of the Nebraska Literary Heritage Association Board and on the board for the Laura Ingalls Wilder Legacy and Research Association.

A native Nebraskan, when she’s not writing her next novel, Laura enjoys watching football, traveling, crocheting, binge-watching Netflix, and hanging out with her cats Jane and Bingley.
